Irene James

Irene was brought up in Lenzie and graduated from Glasgow Vet School in 1995. She enjoyed working with lots of different species during my studies - the most unusual procedure being taking a sample of spinal fluid from a camel! After spending a few years working in Lincolnshire and Yorkshire she deciding to specialise in small animal practice, and managed to persuade her English husband to move back to Scotland in 2003. Irene loves working with the team at Martin vets for the last few years, and particularly enjoys getting to know the clients and building a relationship with their pets.

Out of work Irene is kept busy with 3 teenagers, a laid-back rescue lab cross and a crazy Dalmatian who likes to eat EVERYTHING.
